I like to think that i am an original and unique photographer.. looking past my anxiety off course lol.. my subjects always vary and i like, well i try to keep my photography as fresh as possible.. as in i dont always photograph the same flower or the same person again and again, other wise i think a photographer can loose there way and become stale in their images and loose the art form of photography..
What I tend to do, and this is just personaly, every photographer has their own way of shaking things up a bit. To me it's just a matter of switching.. so if you shoot mainly in a studio, try doing location work and visversa.. if you like to take photos of models then try doing landscape photography..
Thats what i have done recently, i have gone back to the start and gone back to landsscape shots for now, as i have done alot and i mean alot of work with various lovely models.. but my work started to get very samey and i was loosing my photographic identity if you like.. so had to make that switch to as i said keep things fresh..
There is nothing worse.. nothing, than having a mental block on your photography, i would find myself just staring at my camera bag thinking, i should go out and take a few images of something or rather, even if they are totally random shots, they could turn out to be the best shots that you have ever done in your life.. you just dont know, you have to really force yourself to take your camera out and about with you.. no matter where you end up, you just take it and take random shots.. then slowly i find you will break the mental block, but you have to keep on at it..
this is a good example of one of my random snaps.. this was taken at comic con at the NEC in birmingham last weekend.. just happen to capture this chappy .. pondering, thought it was a great natrual shot, i just want to know what he is thinking? AL
